Happy 3 Months
Dear Molly,
You are 3 months old now! I cannot believe how fast the time is flying. This month marked some huge fun changes for you!
You've started babbling/cooing and otherwise talking with us! It's quite fun to sit and make the noises back at you and watch your entire face smile as you respond. I was holding you in the ringsling the other night and humming to you to try to get you to sleep. I glanced down to see you looking up at me with that concentrated look. You then spat out your pacifier and started trying to hum back at me! It was super cute!
You're able to sit up with very little help! By that I mean, you can pretty much sit up as long as you're balanced against something/someone. You hold your head up with no problem, and are starting to stand for periods of time. You get so happy when you stand up or are sitting, probably because you can then look around at the world. I put you in the Bumbo seat, and you sat in it for a good twenty minutes just looking around! Silly me, I forgot to get a picture though.
MollyKat, you are growing so unbelievably fast! I cannot believe you are three months already! It is amazing to see how much you've changed in so short a time. You are so responsive and aware and smiley now! It's only a matter of time before you start giggling/laughing. I've gotten a few sounds that sound like a giggle, but nothing consistently yet.
When you wake up in the morning and see me glancing down at you, you get this huge grin and do this cute little wiggle. It makes me melt. Though it also makes me wonder if you are indeed my child, since you are so happy at 5 in the morning. Hehe.
You have started sleeping through the night!! It makes Momma and Daddy so very happy! Thank you thank you!
Today, we dropped you off at daycare, and I went back to work. It is an odd feeling to know you are there, and not here. I keep thinking that I should be listening for you to wake up, cause you'll be hungry; but then I remember you're with someone else who is caring for you, and I don't have to worry. This makes me happy but also slightly sad. But I know they will take good care of you at your daycare, and that you will learn and grow and make friends!
I cannot wait to see what you do this month! We love you so much, MollyKat.
P.s., As you'll be able to tell from the pictures, you have discovered your hands! And you think they are the tastiest things ever! You also have decided that everything must be licked in order to discover what it is. It's quite entertaining!
